Our Story

cresstwelals was founded in 2019 by a small group of financial professionals who noticed a gap in Thailand's education landscape. While there was no shortage of investment advisors eager to sell products, there were few resources dedicated to helping ordinary people understand the fundamentals of personal finance without any sales pressure.

Our founding team had all worked in Bangkok's financial sector for years, but we grew increasingly concerned about the number of people making important financial decisions without a clear grasp of basic concepts like compound interest, asset allocation, or the true costs of various financial products. We saw friends and family members fall victim to overly complex investment schemes or miss opportunities simply because the information was presented in inaccessible ways.

We started by offering free weekend workshops at community centers, expecting perhaps a dozen attendees. To our surprise, the first session drew nearly fifty people, and the questions they asked confirmed what we suspected: there was genuine hunger for straightforward financial education delivered without jargon or hidden agendas.

Since then, we've grown carefully and deliberately. We've developed structured programs that build skills progressively, hired educators who share our commitment to clarity and respect, and refined our materials based on thousands of hours of participant feedback. We've also deepened our focus on Thai-specific contexts, ensuring that our examples, case studies, and frameworks reflect the realities of living and investing in Thailand.

Today, cresstwelals serves hundreds of individuals and families each year through our three core programs. We remain independent, accepting no commissions from financial product providers, and we measure our success by the confidence our participants gain in managing their financial lives.

Our Values in Action

Financial literacy is not just about knowing how to calculate returns or read a balance sheet. It's about developing the confidence to ask questions, the judgment to evaluate options, and the discipline to stick with a plan even when markets are volatile or friends are chasing the latest trend.

We've designed our programs around these principles. When someone joins our budgeting course, they're not just learning to track expenses; they're building awareness of their relationship with money and developing systems that work with their psychology, not against it. When participants enroll in our investment fundamentals program, they're not memorizing financial ratios; they're learning to think critically about risk, to recognize when something sounds too good to be true, and to ask the right questions before committing capital.

For families working through wealth succession planning, we facilitate difficult conversations about values, fairness, and legacy. We help them think through not just the technical mechanics of trusts and insurance, but the human dynamics that determine whether wealth transfers strengthen family bonds or strain them.

What we don't do is equally important. We don't promise specific investment returns, because no one can. We don't claim that financial success is simple or that there's a single formula everyone should follow. We don't rush participants through complex topics or make them feel inadequate for needing time to absorb new concepts. We recognize that building financial capability is a gradual process, and we're committed to supporting participants at every stage of that journey.

This approach has shaped everything from our class sizes (we keep them small so everyone has space to participate) to our pricing (we offer payment plans and occasionally subsidize spots for those facing financial hardship) to our post-program support (graduates can email us questions for months after completing a program).

If this philosophy resonates with you, we'd be honored to work together. Financial education should be empowering, not overwhelming, and we're here to help you build the understanding you need to make decisions with confidence.
